Dessert Run (formerly the Rollout)
Greetings all Mad City Vettes Members,
Spring has sprung (more or less), and I’ve seen a number of Corvettes out on the road. That means its time for the 23rd annual Dessert Run, formerly known as the Rollout Party. Cindy and I have already been out and run the route once and as you have come to expect, it will be a beautiful drive, and Cindy will have a variety of delectable desserts to choose from when we return to the Vette ranch. Here are the specifics:
The run takes place June 3. The rally point is the parking lot of the Middleton Park & Ride on the north end of Parmenter Street next to the recycling center. Exit the Beltline at the Parmenter Street exit. You can see the parking lot from the Beltline. Rally time is 1:45 with a 2:00 departure. As usual, route instructions with mile markers will be provided. You don’t have to bring anything except whatever you want to drink and a chair. All desserts, tableware, bottled water and some seating will be provided. It will help us to know about how many people are showing up to plan the amount of food, so call us or register for the run on the website, However, we want as many people as possible to show up, and since the run is free, if you find yourself available on that day but haven’t registered, PLEASE come anyway. There is always enough for everyone. There are no bathrooms at the rally point but there is a Kwik Trip just down Parmenter Street so be sure to fuel up and empty out before we leave, This year’s route, titled “The Rock House and Barn Tour” is approximately 90 minutes of beautiful backroad Wisconsin. Call us with any questions, otherwise, we look forward to seeing you on June 3.
