As you may or may not have heard, our fellow member and friend Art Hanson has been diagnosed with cancer. He has a very upbeat attitude and I am here to tell you the humor that we all know and love is still there. Since it is hard for Art to get out to the meetings I thought we could bring a little Mad City Corvettes fun to him. We talked to Denise and she thought it would be a great idea.<br /> <br />I know this is a little short notice but Robyn and I are organizing a picnic at Art and Denise’s house this Saturday around noon. Rain date will be Sunday. If it looks bad for Saturday I will send an email Friday night.<br /> <br />For any of you that would like to attend we have organized a little 1hr.- 15 min. drive through the hills of Iowa county to the Hanson&#39;s house for a little Corvette club pick me up. This will mostly be a scenic drive with speeds up to 60-65 mph at times. I will make sure everyone stays together. (Robyn says she doesn’t want to be sick) All the roads are County and State roads with one small exception. The roads are very pretty and have many hills, valleys, and twists and turns.<br /> <br />We will leave the Verona area High School parking lot that is next to Kwik Trip at 233 Wild Cat Way, Verona at 11:00 am. Drivers meeting will be at 10:45 am. After our short drive we will have a picnic lunch with Art and Denise at their home. This will be a great way fill Art in on what’s happening at the club, give him our support, and have a nice drive also. <br /> <br />On the way home you can go on your own or if some of you want, we can drive the route backwards in a more spirited way.<br /> <br />Please let me know if you plan to attend so we can let Denise know. Plan on bringing you own lunch and chairs. If you decide Saturday morning you want to go that’s ok too, just show up at the start location and we will have a great time.
